Tanekeya Word wanted to create a world where women could be deemed feminine while being powerhouses.

 

As a dreamer and assertive woman, she wasn’t ok with being told that women should be quiet and domestic. Donne Di Lusso is Italian for Luxury Women.

 

I believe women are multi-faceted; we can be domestic, run a company and empower others all in the same day. I decided to celebrate the many angles of womanhood; thus, I painted women in vibrant colors and situated them on a platform to be seen and heard.

 

I wanted their voices to resonate with the adjectives and verbs placed in the artwork. Hopefully, women can relate to the collection and know that they can be who God intended for them to be, have you checked out the Proverbs 31 woman’s resume…she did it all and so can we.

 

Known as the Duchess of Pop Art and Urban Pointillism, she has an original perspective on traditional art forms. She uses her colors and lines in very exciting ways. After some introspection while trying to develop her niche as an artist, she decided she wanted her passions – womanhood, art: literature, fashion, interior design all rolled up to tell a story.

 

In essence, her artwork is designed to be a series of stories created by brushstrokes to inspire and empower the world.
